Back at the Ranch

My birthday was pouring. We just stayed home. He bought a family size blueberry cheesecake, which was perfect with brewed coffee. Yuuum! Nay cooked broccoli with mushroom and caldereta for lunch. Para kaming nag-Mann Hann. His Aunt Joan bought Double Dutch ice cream with marshmallows. Carbo diet na naman ito (the day before, Mama Tess cooked spaghetti for me).

We were supposed to go out for a family dinner. But since it had been raining nonstop all day, we just decided to load their fridge with groceries, and have a coffee date afterward. On our way to Seattle's Best, we had been fooling around with the grocery cart-- taking turns, with one foot pushing the cart until it gained enough velocity, then riding on it for several seconds. The Raspberry Mocha Kiss was a smash hit [and we shared the same opinion]. We chatted a little and browsed the pages of a car magazine, as our cart containing a few SM biodegradable bags waited right beside our table.

Thank you for the family treat, buddy ko. *kugos*

That Saturday, June 21, was also the second day of the typhooon Frank. And the day when MV Princess of the Stars capsized off the coast of Romblon. =(
